Patio Furniture’s best friend... The patio cover!

Do you have a shed or garage? Many do not. So what’s a good way to protect your garden furniture? If you do have a shed or garage will all of your patio furniture fit into it during the seasons of bad weather? Add years of life to your outdoor patio furniture with a patio furniture’s best friend... patio covers!

Covers specifically made for patio furniture provide superior protection for your outdoor furniture collection. Many are also made from “green” materials so they use less of the resources we all share. That helps the environment! Virtually all outdoor patio furniture pieces have an accompanying patio cover so getting the right piece is a breeze. Some patio covers even have designs and logos which allow you to express your individual style.

Before you even purchase a patio cover here are a few tips. Check your patio furniture to make sure there are no jagged objects or corners that could stress your cover as you pull it on. You want the cover to last and spurs will only stress or rip the cover.

Most covers have handles. Use the handles located on either side of your cover to slip your cover over the top of your furniture then pull the cover down on all four corners. Many covers also come with wraps/straps. Wrap the straps around your furniture to secure your cover around the patio furniture.

Clean your cover with room temperature water and a soft brush. DO NOT USE SOAP as it may remove the protective coatings added by the manufacturer. Let the cover air dry. To avoid any possibility of mildew or mold, be sure your cover is completely dry before you store it in an enclosed area for a long period.

Following these simple tips will help you keep your patio furniture in tip to condition.
